Chapter 2
zzzzzzzzzzzzz Frankie was having the most wonderful time, he and his unicorn were running in tandem down the lane. Sun shining, feeling warm and light, if they ran just a little faster they could fly above the trees.
As they giggled and ran, suddenly a flash of lightning turned off the sun like a switch. The ground shook with a mighty rumble, the electrical charge making the fur on the back of Frankie's back stand straight up. The unicorn and Frankie looked at each other with wide frightened eyes. Where had the sunny sun shining day gone?
Looking back at the once beautiful welcoming lane, they now saw threatening shadows, and trees hiding hideous creatures. Frankie knew he had to be brave, mustn’t let unicorn see he was almost scared, although unicorn didn't look so brave either. As they turned to go back, the lane was almost straight up. Frankie wondered when that happened. Before he could ponder the how and why, the wind started to scream and blow cold in their faces.
“Oh no,” Frankie thought, then shouted above the roar of the wind, "we have to get back to the castle, NOW." As they took off running, dodging twigs and debris, it started to downpour, the lane turning into a muddy sucking mess. As the unicorn was shaking, wild with fright, Frankie seemed to grow and gain control.
"Be brave my friend, show no fear, they feed on fear." "Who?" asked unicorn. Speaking with contempt "trolls.” Unicorn started to shake even harder, trolls he thought, he had always heard of trolls, then he remembered.......as Frankie spoke "troll slayer here, show no fear.”
No time left to reassure unicorn he had to get back to King Marvel, this many trolls grouping was bad......very bad. Struggling against the wind, they pulled their feet out of the quagmire of the lane, which was becoming more and more difficult. Frankie screaming in his head, "dad, dad, I'm coming" as he held the tears to the back of his throat, looking wilded-eyed from side to side, catching the movement of the trolls. "This many very bad."

They both struggled toward the castle, but it was getting harder and harder to move. The trolls seeing the advantage started to jump on unicorn and cirlce Frankie. Evil troll hissing giggles filling the air. "Have to get back to the castle, have to get back to the castle", Frankie repeated like a mantra, "have to get back to the castle......dad!" He couldn't let King Marvel down, the realm was depending on him. "Dad! Dad! Dad I'm coming"............to be continued
